Glam Up Your Poster Prints
July 6, 2009
Now that you’ve bought that poster print, it’s time to get it the attention it deserves. But some prints deserve more attention than others. If you feel your art poster print needs more attention than it’s getting the way it is now, check out these tips to glam them right up.
Poster Placement Highlighting Tips
Dramatic Lighting
Try placing your poster prints under lights that you can switch on or off separately from the main lights. When you switch off your main lights, your posters can bathe in dramatic light and shadow.
The Right Placement
Place your poster prints where they’re most suited, depending on what the print image is. For example, you can put a gritty street bar print on your living room if you invite friends to drink there often, or you can put a nice waterworks poster print in the bathroom.
Where exactly you’re going to place your print is also important. Hang your prints at eye level, and at naturally eye-catching places so people’s eyes won’t help but get drawn to them.
The Right Frames
Frames set off the feel of your custom poster prints. They can make them or break them. A glossy poster print with a classic, heavily ornamented frame can make an interesting combination sometimes, but not when the print is of a red-hot Ferrari. Match your frame with your poster carefully for the best effects.
